BECOME A MENTOR

A Project of Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Power ON! mentoring program. Through a community collaboration between Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, The Embracing Project and The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada, Power ON! seeks to provide mentorship for youth that may be at-risk of or have been victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation or Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking.

Therefore, it is our mission to train and support community members who desire and exhibit passion to work with vulnerable youth populations such as sex trafficking victims, homeless youth, LGBTQ and youth from low-income households. To ensure the best mentorship opportunities for Power ON! Mentees, becoming a mentor for Power ON! requires a process of background checks and training. All Power ON! Mentors need to commit their time and take their mentor responsibilities seriously.

In order to take the first steps in becoming a trained Power ON! Mentor, please review the requirements below and check that you understand. Once completed you will be taken to the next page. We estimate the questionnaire may take between 15-20 minutes to complete.
